Premium User freut euch, auf der Download Seite gibt es bei den Beta Versionen eine neue Version. Den Download gibt es hier. Folgende Features sind in der neuen Beta (Build 908) verfügbar:

New Features
- Added collection listing right-click option: Insert Collection Number - shifts all collection numbers up by one, starting with the selected item
- New thumbnail collection view mode lets you browse your collection with cover images. Select from tiny, small, medium, large, or custom image sizes with a multi-column listing of images.
- Partial Update Acceptance - When previewing profile changes, users now have the option to selectively accept data by section (using the same data sections as the online submission system).
Enhancements
- Added new element to reports for row number
- In reports, optionally include desc in title, original title. Default to true for title, false for original title.
- Enhanced report editor to allow interactive item resize
- Automatic download of contributor information may now be disabled under Tools->Options->Online
- Comparison skin updated to move DS/DL/Flipper into disc section
- Genre filter now supports 'And'
- Detect AnyDVD program, disable disc identification features if detected. AnyDVD alters the read disc ID.
- In Watched By window, added Select All button, when unchecking 'use purchase dated' go to today's date
- Reports now default to 'flagged' if there's anything flagged
- Adding discs by Disc ID now results in a more intelligent match, giving priority to matches of individual profiles before trying to match box sets.
- Added a 'Clear Date' button to the personalize window for entering blank purchase dates.
- Added new option to the cast edit window to replace a cast member with a different actor.
- Added new tags in skins for display of enabled locks, default comparison skin updated to include display of locks.
- Added hover hint to disc indicators in main profile display, showing label and disc ID.
- Added the following new locks: Features, Audio Tracks, Subtitles, Easter Eggs, Running Time, Release Date, Production Year, Case Type, Video Formats, Rating
- Added 'ROLESFIRST' attribute to skins for cast/crew, reverses the order of name and role
- Added the ability to edit locks from within the profile preview window, via button or right-click on the lock indicator. Locks take effect immediately, but do not restrict the option to accept data sections.
- Selecting Online->Refresh DVD from IVS->Preview Changes, then selecting OK from the preview window, now results in immediate download of that profile
- Subtitles: Changed Tjeckish to Czech, added Romanian and Slovenian
- Changed handling of mouse wheel significantly. It is no longer necessary to first select the control you wish to scroll
- Double-clicking on an entry in the Refresh Updated Profiles window now previews profile and image changes (same as clicking Preview Changes)
- Removed option to allow local editing of locked items. Local edit is now always allowed.
Bug Fixes
- Corrected progress feedback in My Profiler collection upload
- In custom skins, multiple single-name actors now correctly displayed
- Double-clicking on actor in the cast filter section no longer results in access violation
- Corrected issue with field focus after Edit/Save
- Corrected reported Access Violation during first program run and/or visiting Tools-Options
- Charts feature now disabled while editing a DVD to prevent data corruption
- Video format is no longer a required entry when submitting a box set profile
- Corrected an error which could cause items to not show in the box set edit dialog
- Corrected error in the Refresh Updated DVD Profiles window which allowed selection of another row after clicking to a profile comparison
- Corrected title edit box resize issue which occurred on some systems set to "Classic" XP theme
- Refreshing a profile no longer results in a database requery
- Corrected mouse wheel scroll issue which caused scrolling of the collection list when the end of the notes field was reached
- Various corrections and additions to translation support
- 16x9 Enhanced now is automatically unchecked when Widescreen is unchecked
- Corrected incorrect mouse cursor when hovering near a cast/crew entry
- Refreshed images are now displayed immediately
- Corrected an error which could cause edited images to bypass download in some cases

Würde ich auch so sehen. Vielleicht der wichtigste Punkt: Die AnyDVD-Detection, um falsche Disc-IDs zu verhindern. Wozu man "Automatic download of contributor information may now be disabled" braucht, ist mir völlig schleierhaft. |

Ähm, das ist für die Leute, die mit dial-up Verbindungen ins Internet gehen und sich nicht jedesmal einwählen wollen (bzw. die Fehlermeldung bekommen wollen), wenn sie einen Bericht oder einen Skin anklicken. Das ist durchaus nervig. Vor allem weil der Profiler sich das ganze nur merkt, solange er geöffnet ist. Beim nächsten Programmstart geht das Spielchen von vorne los... |

AnyDVD bewirkt schlicht und einfach, dass der Profiler eine falsche Disc-ID erzeugt. |

Ich habe zwar keine Ahnung, wie genau sich die Disc ID errechnen lässt, aber da AnyDVD z.B. die Regionen ändert oder Werbeeinblendungen überspringbar macht, ändert sich dadurch die ID auf jeden Fall.
Auf der anderen Seite bleibt die von AnyDVD errechnete Disc ID natürlich für den Rechner gültig, auf dem sie erzeugt wurde. |

Zurück zum Thema, folgendes Bild habe ich gerade aus dem Profiler-Beta-Forum gefischt. Es stammt von Ken und ist damit echt:
Man beachte die linke Spalte
Außerdem ist einem User der neue Links-Tab in der Mitte aufgefallen (neben dem Discs-Tab), mal schauen, was daraus wird. Ken wollte dazu nichts sagen.
